You've always wanted to tell that story about your life, your community, and your family. But how do you get started? How do you develop a consistent writing practice? What is the best story to tell?
More than ever, the personal narrative has become our mainstay in conversing about race, immigration, identity, ourselves, and a myriad of intersectionalities. You could be a part of this conversation and write your own personal story.
This workshop will teach emerging writers how to get started with writing their personal stories.
Workshop Takeaways:
1. Participants will learn the importance of journaling to enhance their writing practice.
2. Participants will learn the basics of the first drafting process.
