Free Community Workshop for New Public Art Installation at Worcester Public Library

The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District, Worcester Public Library (WPL), and Worcester Public Library Foundation are excited to announce a community brainstorm session to explore the theme of belonging for a public art installation at WPL on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Worcester Public Library, located at 3 Salem Square, in the Saxe Room.

Downtown Worcester BID Welcomes Local Entrepreneur Victoria Mariano as its New Program Director

The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District is proud to announce the appointment of Victoria Mariano as its new Program Director. In this role, Mariano will oversee a number the BID’s current programs, including its efforts focused on placemaking, beautification, safety and hospitality. She will also be responsible for developing and implementing new programs and initiatives to further enhance the downtown area, driving growth and community engagement.

Creative Hub & Artist Sharinna Travieso Selected for Public Art & Lighting Project at the Worcester Public Library

The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District, Worcester Public Library, and Worcester Public Library Foundation are thrilled to announce that local arts non-profit Creative Hub Worcester and visual artist Sharinna Travieso have been chosen to team up on a project that will bring large-scale public art and lighting to the WPL’s Main Library building.
