Worcester Youth Orchestras Auditions

The Worcester Youth Orchestras welcomes all students grades 3 and up to audition for its Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz and Chamber Music Programs! Students studying strings, winds, brass, percussion harp and keyboard are encouraged to try out for this dynamic organization. Join more than 200 students from across Central Massachusetts who share a love and passion for music making as well as making new friends. This diverse group of students rehearse weekly with their ensembles and perform 5-6 times a season at venues such as Mechanics Hall. Previous performances have included Polar Park, The Massachusetts State House for Governor Baker and The Governor's State of the Union. The Orchestras have toured Central Europe, Canada, England, Ireland, the Czech Republic and Germany/Austria in the Summer of 2023 Questions? Email info@worcesteryouthorchestras.org
Auditions are held in person on
Monday, May 8th, 2023 and Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm.

No student will be turned away due to financial hardship. ALL WYO students receive an automatic tuition subsidy through the generosity of our supporters. Families seeking additional financial aid or scholarships should contact the Artistic Director by email. Financial Aid, Scholarships & Work Study programs are available to all students. and families.

Need Help Submitting an Event on Our Events Calendar?
- Go to the discovercentralma.org website and scroll to bottom of page
- To only enter events into the calendar and not become a Discover Central MA member, click Already a member? Login to your account
- Fill out the information in English to Create an Account and click Create Account
- You will then be directed to a page where you can post events
- Select Manage My Events to enter events into the calendar
- Click Create Event button
- Enter the name in English and dates of your event and select Create Event & Continue
- Add in all event details in English and an image that is under 690 pixels
- When finished, check the box that says Request addition to the Downtown Worcester Calendar
- Click Send to Review
All posted events will be subject to review by the Discover Central Massachusetts and Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District staff prior to approval. Please submit events at least two weeks in advance as it can take up to 7-9 days for your event to appear on our events calendar. Please review event guidelines HERE.
