Worcester Historical Museum’s landmark exhibit – PRETTY POWERFUL: 100 Years of Voting & Style commemorates the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote through fashion and the changing roles of women. Opening and Sneak Previews dates coincide with the 171st anniversary of the First National Woman’s Rights Convention in Worcester (October 23-24, 1850).
 
PRETTY POWERFUL will share stories of local activism, empowerment, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and the changing roles of women over the past century through 32 garments and additional accessories. We are proud to amplify all voices that contribute to the fabric and storytelling of Worcester and look forward to welcoming visitors to come together safely to share stories and feel included in the PRETTY POWERFUL story. Come explore the lives and legacies of women who have shaped and continue to shape the Worcester experience – history, social fabric, and culture.
