Mid-Season WYO Auditions

The Worcester Youth Orchestras welcomes all interested students to audition for one of its many ensembles. Whether your a fan of jazz, band music, symphonic or chamber music, we have many ensembles that provide transformational musical experiences, a welcoming social environment of students from more than 60 communities across Central Massachsuetts. WYO celebrates its 75th Season with many exciting concerts and events at Mechanics Hall, and be sure to join us for the WY Symphony Orchestra's German & Austrian Tour in June 2023!
Open to students grades 12 and under who study winds, brass, percussion, harp, strings and guitar. See our website for the various ensembles offered and the audition requirements. Financial Aid and Merit Scholarships available, no student will be turned away due to financial obstacles, please contact us if you have any questions.
Audition Dates & Times:
Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Auditions are held at the WYO Offices at Mechanics Hall

Need Help Submitting an Event on Our Events Calendar?
- Go to the discovercentralma.org website and scroll to bottom of page
- To only enter events into the calendar and not become a Discover Central MA member, click Already a member? Login to your account
- Fill out the information in English to Create an Account and click Create Account
- You will then be directed to a page where you can post events
- Select Manage My Events to enter events into the calendar
- Click Create Event button
- Enter the name in English and dates of your event and select Create Event & Continue
- Add in all event details in English and an image that is under 690 pixels
- When finished, check the box that says Request addition to the Downtown Worcester Calendar
- Click Send to Review
All posted events will be subject to review by the Discover Central Massachusetts and Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District staff prior to approval. Please submit events at least two weeks in advance as it can take up to 7-9 days for your event to appear on our events calendar. Please review event guidelines HERE.
