The Sewing Project – Learn Embroidery @ Hadwen Park Congregational Church

The Sewing Project is a grant funded, year long project with the goal of bringing affordable sewing lessons to the community.

Kim will be teaching 2 Intro to Sewing classes, 1 project based class, and 1 embroidery class per month, in 2 different locations, every class is $5 only.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Each class costs only $5! Payable to instructor at time of event. Cash or Venmo.

Intro to Embroidery, all ages:

In this class we will go over some basic stitching techniques, how to thread the needle, and how to hoop your fabric, and how to “finish” the back. This is a great parent/child class, or siblings, besties, etc. However, that does not mean you can’t come solo!***Different people stitch at different paces. Therefore, you may not fully finish in this class. If that is the case, you can take some thread and a needle home with you to finish.All materials provided.

Embroidery Pumpkins

In this class we will go over some basic stitching techniques used to fill in a pre-drawn pumpkin image. We will learn how to thread the needle, how to hoop your fabric, and how to “finish” the back. Different people stitch at different paces. Therefore, you may not fully finish in this class. If that is the case, you can take some thread and a needle home with you to finish. All materials provided.

Embroidery Florals

In this class students will choose from a variety of floral themed images to stitch! We will go over some basic stitching techniques, how to thread the needle, how to hoop your fabric, and how to “finish” the back. Different people stitch at different paces. Therefore, you may not fully finish in this class. If that is the case, you can take some thread and a needle home with you to finish. All materials provided.
