
Tickets are now available for a concert by the Worcester Symphony Orchestra in Worcester’s Mechanics Hall at 7:30 pm on Saturday, March 11. Tickets are available through the orchestra’s Web site (worcesstersymphony.org) or from the Mechanics Hall box office at 508-752-0888.
The concert will begin with Beethoven’s stirring “Coriolan” Overture and include the Keyboard Concerto Number 1 in D minor of J.S. Bach, and the Symphony Number 1 of Johannes Brahms. The program also includes Arvo Part’s “Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten.” Pianist Father Sean Duggan will be the guest soloist in the Bach concerto. The entire program will be conducted by WSO Music Director John Roderick MacDonald.
Tickets are priced at $42 and $35 for adults, $40 and $32 for seniors, and $12 for students. Ticket holders may attend a pre-concert talk by Maestro MacDonald at 6:30 pm.
