Club 321 featuring Aaron and the Lord
with opener Evan Kenney
Thursday, December 8, 2022
Doors: 6:15pm | Show: 7:00pm
Ages 21+ / Presented by Mechanics Hall & 90.5 FM WICN Public Radio
Aaron and the Lord is the new venture of Aaron Perrino (the voice of the Sheila Divine, the short-lived but much-loved Boston band in the early 2000s) and Steven Lord (multi-instrumentalist of the soulful rock band Dirty Bangs). For this Club 321, Perrino and Lord will perform their vivid, slicing indie-rock songs, with nods back to the chiming guitars and stentorian vocals of the bands they grew up on and forward to a new kind of pop-rock future. Learn more about Aaron and the Lord
The program will be opened by guitarist Evan Kenney. Born outside of Boston, Kenney grew up with his dad’s soul and rock n’ roll records blasting in the house all day, every day. At age 12, he discovered skateboarding, which helped him find and fall in love with punk rock. After years of fronting bands like Read Yellow, Bodega Girls, Thunderbloods, Dirty Bangs, and Labor Hex, Kenney has created a solo album entitled “Trouble Boy.” With songs about love, loss, and everything in between, “Trouble Boy” draws musical inspiration from everyone from Buck Owens to The Jesus and Mary Chain.
