
Cathy Meyer will be playing a program titled "A Walk in the Park." This program will feature works by Buxtehude, Elgar, Sweelinck, Barber, and Locklair. She is the Minister of Music and organist for South Church (UCC) in Andover, Massachusetts, where she directs a large music ministry of choral and instrumental music. Meyer is an active recitalist, and has recently performed organ and piano recitals on both coasts, including at the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, First Night Boston on the glorious organ at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, and was featured on the nationally-syndicated Pipedreams radio show. Cathy sings alto with the New Hampshire-based choir Capella Nova Mundi. She also serves as the Musical Director for the jazz interfaith One Spirit Foundation and is trained in the Orff-Schulwerk pedagogy for children. Meyer is the Sub-Dean for the Boston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and is heavily involved in the Young Organist Initiative, and also maintains a private organ studio. In her free time, she is a Sound Healing practitioner and is a Reiki Master of Masters.
