Mama\, hearing the commotion\, comes upstairs with Llama’s pajamas in the laundry basket to ask about his day—his very first day at school—and put him to bed. But when she goes downstairs to do the million things that busy mothers have to do at the end of the day\, Llama is too wiggly to fall asleep\, and besides\, he’s thirsty. He howls for Mama to come back up\, but she doesn’t arrive. This project is funded by a Worcester Arts Council and Mass Cultural Council grant. #wacfunded \nExhibition runs : December 7 – 21\, 2022. \nThe 'Saffron Notes' Story \nFor centuries\, western artists have celebrated women by portraying them as beautiful\, powerful\, and sometimes as nobility. Few parallels exist for South Asian women because we often think of them as playing their assigned roles in society. They have been captured as doting mothers\, loyal wives\, goddesses in temples\, and homemakers performing chores. Open Hacks are a free\, open house event where members (and non-members too!) can come to the space to work on their projects alongside other people working on projects. \n\n\nWhy? Because working on our creative projects is more fun when we do it together. You can also ask for a tour when you are here! \n\n\nWhen? Thursday nights at 7:00 PM!\n		  \n\n\n\n\nOpen Hacks and Crafts is a weekly event at Technocopia where we invite members and the public to share their ideas and projects with one another. It's an excellent place to learn more about who we are\, and meet new artisans and makers in an inspiring environment. \n\n\n\n\nNo need to register – all are welcome to show up to 44 Portland Street\, Worcester\, sixth floor.
